Selena Gomez has a worldwide reputation as an actor and a singer. Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the most prestigious projects in which she participated and has achieved the most successes, is her own project. Selena Marie Gomez, her full name is. Her birth date was July 22, 1992, in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett, and Ricardo Gomez are her parents. Selena was the first child of her mother who was only 16 at the age Selena. Her first professional stage show job at the age of nine in the role of Gianna in Barney and her Friends. Thus she became one of the kids who played with the most famous historical anthropomorphic dinosaur, the purple one. Selena made an appearance in several episodes for seasons 7 and 8 from 2001 - 2003. Fun fact: Selena was not the only one who sang in Barney and his Friends in this time period. Demi Lovato was also part of the cast of the show. Selena Gomez tried out for many roles after leaving Barney and Friends but was not successful. Her role was a little smaller on Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3D Game Over) in 2003, and one more part in the film as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire. Also, she was offered the character as Emily Grace Garcia in the 2006 Brain Zapped program for which she composed a tune.
